The Intensive Care Units are highly specialised facilities that provide care 24 hours a day for patients who need intensive treatment and/or require close medical monitoring for any reason.
The units within CHIREC collectively comprise 27 beds and receive almost 2,000 admissions per year, which represents a level of accommodation and care similar to that provided in the largest hospitals in the Brussels Region.
