Pediatric Hematology

Braine-l’Alleud Site

At Braine-l’Alleud Hospital, it is possible to perform the initial assessment of any hematological disorder (anemia, thrombocytopenia). In certain situations or for more complex tests, you may be referred to the children’s hospital in Brussels.

Patients diagnosed with G6PD deficiency or sickle cell disease can also be followed and hospitalized, if necessary, in our unit. Only exchange transfusions cannot be performed here.

Patients diagnosed with ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura) can come to receive immunoglobulin treatment in cases of symptomatic thrombocytopenia.
