Varicocele

A varicocele is an abnormal dilation of the veins of the pampiniform plexus, resulting from venous insufficiency which causes an increase in testicular volume.

Varicocele embolisation is a ‘minimally invasive’ procedure that involves occluding the vessels that supply blood to the pampiniform plexus.
